It has taken me time to uncover all the buried treasures my father was too humble to speak of. In a way that is the beauty of death. It has given me another journey to travel by his side. The joy of uncovering each new kindness and good karmic ripple he set in motion is inexplicable. I like to think it is his way of continuing to grow with me and surprise me and remind me why the love we shared was so incredibly immense. The flame of his legacy, it is impossible not to burn it with pride. For the first while everyone comes to watch it and stands near to feel its warmth. But over time they slowly forget or move on. But not us, the ones that were too close, it will always burn in our hearts, slowly, surely and quietly finding ways to spread with complete subtlety to everyone we encounter. And so it should. It is a gift worth embracing, it is memories worth reliving and it is wisdom worth sharing.
